I love to feel cozy and warm. I love to bundle up in fleece everything when winter comes. I love to keep myself covered, from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet.
I especially love wearing slippers in the fall and winter, that way I can comfortably move around my house and outside, if it is a short distance, like to mailbox and back.
I think I am going to order myself a nice pair of Acorn slippers for an early Christmas gift. Anyone have suggestions on which kind of Acorn slippers to purchase?
I normally just get a cheap pair each year, that I end up tossing out at the end of winter, as they usually wear out by then.
I think it is great that Acorn Slippers have not only factored in great quality, but also a nice, fair price. Think about it, if they last for ten years, like someone posted, which means that is around five dollars a year, if you get a fifty dollar pair.
The cheapest pair of slippers I usually buy are ten to twenty dollars, and they only last me a year, so technically I would be saving more per year investing in a better brand, like Acorn Slippers.
If I end up liking them, I know the perfect gift to give my family and friends. You really usually can not go wrong getting people slippers, as most people love to feel comfy, cozy, and pampered on a regular basis.
I have not ever been a fan of socks or slippers, especially indoors. I get warm very easily, so I would rather be cold than warm. I don't see that changing anytime soon, so for me this product would probably be a bad investment.
However, many of my family members are cold-natured and love nothing more than being all comfy, cozy and warm. It is difficult to decide what to get for them for Christmas, as they seem to have most of what they need and aren't very materialistic.

My husband never wore slippers until we moved from Arizona to Wisconsin. After the first winter, I bought him a pair of acorn men's slippers.
I really didn't know if he would wear them or not, but now he wears them all the time around the house. I think the hard sole is one thing he really likes about them.
He says they feel more like a shoe than a slipper. He has even worn them to take out the garbage and grab the newspaper.
They come in so many different styles and colors, that even if someone doesn't think they like slippers, you should find at least one style that someone would like.
If you want something very warm for your feet, you might want to try a pair of acorn fleece slippers.

@fify-- I live in Colorado and I'm a stay at home mom. Our house is not cold but my feet are always freezing for some reason so I wear the Acorn Slipper Sock all the time.
It's just like a wool sock but it has a suede sole so that you don't have to be barefoot. I think our feet catch a lot of cold from the ground, so it's a tremendous help to have that sole.
The other great part is that your socks never get dirty! I know you said you ordered one already but if you decide to get another pair, I think you will like the Slipper Sock too. Just make sure to get one size too big because they're made kind of tight.
@fify-- Yea, Acorn slippers are fantastic and they really do last long. I had one that lasted me ten years! I'm on my second one now. It's also a great Christmas gift. I generally buy several every year and gift them to the family. I got some Acorn kids slippers for my grand kids last year and I hear they wear them all the time now.
The one thing that worries me about Acorn is that they are not made in the USA anymore. I noticed it last year when I went to the store to check out the new designs and noticed that it said "Made in China" underneath.
Boy was that a shock! It's disappointing to see a great American brand like that being made in China. But I guess it's the nature of economics.
I don't usually wear anything other than socks when I'm home. But for the last couple of years, we've been renting a mountain cabin for the holidays where it gets pretty cold and there is no carpeting in the cabin.
It's not very comfortable to be in shoes all the time, so I think it's time to get some slippers. I've checked out various different kinds online and I think Acorn women's slippers are the best. I also read some reviews on it and people often mention that they can wear them for years and they replace them when they're worn out.
